Morpeth 10K 2017 – Review, Results and Race Photos.
It has been a wonderful and warm evening for the Morpeth 10K 2017 road race hosted by Morpeth Harriers. As ever the event has been very well organised and certainly well attended by the 251 runners who finished. For those who have never ran Morpeth 10K you will find your reward at the end is indeed a little different. You don’t get a technical T-Shirt or a medal, you get a limited edition commemorative mug!
It has been a while since I ran this race (2014 to be precise) it was actually my first ever road race. I have really wanted to go back, given that I’m not in race form right now I decided to pack up my camera and take the little man along in his running buggy to snap photos and support other runners.
Things to note about this event, there is ample free parking! Race HQ is a bit more than a short distance away so use it as a warm-up. Did I mention that Race HQ is more than a short distance from the car park? well… funnily enough it’s a little further to the start line so (again) use this as a warm-up! It’s 2x laps of the circuit before being fed into a finishing funnel – you won’t get lost!
Hopefully I will get a chance to run this race again in 2018 – watch this space!
The race results are out!!
Congratulations to Ian Hudspith of Morpeth Harriers taking 1st place in a time of 31.16, You also made the blog post cover photo!
The FULL list of runners and their times is available on the Morpeth Harriers Website – see what your official time was.
Morpeth Herald had uploaded a video of the race here – Morpeth Herald Race Video
While I get round to making a formal T’s&C’s page, I would like runners to feel free to download my images for their own personal use (I retain all copyright), all I ask is that you respect my wish that you continue to leave the watermark visible. Please contact me directly if you would like higher quality originals to use for prints.
